We’re into a new year at the club and we’re looking forward at all the positive possibilities the year will have to offer. GPYC club member Russ Cline and his committee are working hard on the wine and farmers market festival in May, which may prove to be the biggest event (fundraiser) our club has ever had. The kitchen will be opening back up with a new bar menu and everyone is enjoying the new drink menu at the bar. We are in the preliminary phase of the bulkhead and dock repairs which also vision a deck expansion. We are planning some great nights of entertainment to include a physic night for all our members, which will be a lot of fun.
I am very pleased with the work we have accomplished this year and at the same time we look back at some of the great members we lost in 2021. COVID has set us back at times, but we all agree that keeping our building and GPYC family safe is our top priority. Your Board of Trustees has worked hard this year so far and I am proud to serve on your Board with each and every Board Member. We will continue to update you weekly with all the club news and as we move into the New Year. We will be back open on Wednesday January 12th at 11:00 a.m. We will have all the year-end numbers for the bar and kitchen at the February General Membership meeting and there are no expenditures being voted on at this time. It is an honor and a privilege to serve as your Commodore going into 2022 and I look forward to seeing everyone at your club. On behalf of myself and the entire GPYC Board of Trustees, we wish everyone a Happy, Healthy, and safe New Year! Respectfully, Ron Heinzman, GPYC Commodore |
