The GPYC Board met on February 6th to discuss the possibility of opening the building. As some of you know, we were planning to discuss a target date for the spring/summer to open even prior to the Governor’s amended order now allowing 35%. So, following a productive conversation, the board has set a target date of Friday March 19th.
The club initially will be open Wednesday through Sunday between the hours of 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. Reciprocal rights have been temporarily suspended by the board until we are back at 100 %. The reason for this is simple, “Members first.” The club will be open for the dues paying members, their significant other, and their children (Over 18). The kitchen will have a nice “Bar menu” offering no dinner specials to start until we are back on our feet. We will comply with all of the Governor’s directives and strictly enforce the wearing of masks and social distancing. All employees will be screened daily. As we move closer, we will provide more information. On March 6th at 6:00 p.m. there will be a General Membership meeting on the first floor of the building. We will follow all COVID-19 rules and masks will be a must. I along with the board want to meet with the membership prior to opening to discuss club business and seek input from the membership as we move forward. Twenty-five (25) is our current quorum at stated in our by-laws. Capacity is (42) with the posted occupancy at 35%. So with (13) on the board, the first (29) members may attend the meeting. The bar will not be open. Please contact me directly at [email protected] if you wish to attend. Respectfully, Ron Heinzman, GPYC Commodore Comments are closed.
