Hello Members,
As we embark on a New Year, I’m excited that I am your Commodore for the next year of 2024. I would like to personally thank Eric Baumann and his future wife Lorie Baumann for all the hard work they do in the kitchen. Without you both, the kitchen would not be a success. Also, our Chef Bruce Baita worked tirelessly to bring great food throughout the year and a new menu to look forward to in 2024. As far as our bar, there is no better person to be your Bar Manager than Bob Cavalier. He works hard to make sure the bar has the best selections, and he could not do the hard work without Ray Pyne by his side. They are both an asset to your club. Also, “Thank You”, to our waitress staff who serves the best food around, the kitchen staff that assists in producing the great meals served, the best bar staff for making the best drinks around, and our cleaning lady Nicole who keeps our building spotless. Without you all, our club would not thrive daily like it does. A big “Thank You”, goes out to all the volunteers who have showed up to support your club. “Thank You”, to Jeff Pfaff, Dave Slowinski, The Haluduns, The Kazimas, The Kabas, Brian Mullin, Phil Wagner, The Zonins, Vanessa Cherry, Fran Germaine, Carol McDonald, Caroline Mure, Jane Mc Kenna, The Kumps, Kevin Hart, Tom Mc Govern, Eileen MacFarlane, her son in law Steve, Jackie O’Keefe, John O’Keefe, Denise Guiffre, DJ Jammin Josh, Billy Bang Bang, Dennis Palmatier, MaryAnn Senatore, The Jennings, The Hortons, The Noonans, Gina Fontana, Gina McNamara, Ricky DiPaolo, Carl Thompsen, Tracy Chentayl, and Diane Moellering, to name a few. If there is someone I did not mention, it was purely a mistake, and your hard work is not forgotten. “Thank You”, to your entire Board of Trustees and Flag Officers and Your Sgt. Of Arms Mike Carroll Jr., without you all, we would not be the Greatest Club Around and GPYC Strong! They work so hard for the club year-round and put in numerous hours without hesitation for your club. In the New Year there is so much yet to be accomplished. We have a tax issue that we are fighting and will see it through. We have the parking lot that will be repaired of all sink holes and puddling of water. We must make repairs to the boat ramp so we can explore future sales of season passes for ramp access to non-members. Also, we are going to explore options for the beach opening including the water testing costs, along with the outside bathroom costs, 2-way radio costs, signage costs, and the factors of water testing failure due to the circumstances of the surrounding elements that inhabit the beach currently. As Your Commodore I will continue to work hard for you the Members. In closing I would like to show much respect and gratitude for all the Past Commodore’s. They have embraced me sincerely and showed me so much support and guidance on my future endeavors of making the club successful. I am full of admiration and respect for them all. It is my honor and privilege to be your Commodore. I’m looking forward to the next year! GPYC Strong! Vanessa Heinzman, Your Commodore Comments are closed.
